Ideas for a short break in October with 2 small kids

Looking to go away in Oct half term for a few days, we need to be back for Halloween on the Thursday. Kids are 4 and 1.

We were looking at Disneyland Paris, but think this might be a bit tricky with the 1 year old, so might go next year.

We went to Center Parcs earlier in the year with friends, so not there. And due to time constraints we can’t squeeze in a week in the sun.

Any ideas? I don’t mind home or abroad, just somewhere geared up for little kids. Thanks!

puertaventura world if you want a theme park? Warmer and good for little kids. Good onsite hotel.

Efteling in the Netherlands. It's drivable from the UK, but we've done it easily by train too. Lots of accommodation options.

Thank you so much for these - I’ve never heard of these places so am currently looking them up!
Just to say, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a theme park, could just be a family friendly hotel somewhere.

Edinburgh has loads to do with little kids if you fancy a city break. Local half term is probably earlier than the English half term so places might not be too busy.

Also in the uk look at Newcastle. Day trip to beamish. Lots of kid friendly and free museums in the city centre. Very compact, easy to walk around
