Looking to visit Rome next year. Would love to go and see Sistine Chapel.
Has anyone booked a ticket from UK? Which site did you use please?

Get it from the Vatican website directly. You can book a tour or buy a ticket for the rest of the Vatican there as well. The tour is worth it ime because there is a lot to see:

Please be very careful in the Vatican city that you don't buy tickets from anyone who walks up to you.

I would also recommend a guided tour but be prepared you have to walk through a good couple of hours of rooms to get to the Sistine chapel itself. It's located in the Vatican museum and it's extremely easy to just buy your tickets at the door.

You access it via the museum, at the end of the tour. Book a timed entry via the Vatican Museum website as the queues can be long.

The chapel is lovely, but people were packed in like sardines so it was hard to get a sense of the place. The atmosphere was most un-chapel-like.
