Help!

I'm flying in 2 weeks with Wizz air. I've checked in for both outward and return flight. I've pid for seats.

It says that check in is complete but my mobile it won't let me download the ticket so I can print it. On the app it will only let me add it to my phone wallet for the outward and for the return I get the message below. No option to save or print or anything 😭😭😭

It's less than 30 days for both flights.

How do I get both outward and return boarding passes printed?!

Please help! I'm wishing I'd never booked with Wizz air 😭

Have you tried contacting customer service?

Aposterhasnoname · 15/08/2024 09:15

What’s the “message below” that you’re getting?

Yes I've tried online but in terms of phone it's £1.50 a minute. And from reviews you are on hold for at least 10min before you speak to anyone. Plus there is no chat bot.

Doh! It didn't send the first time. It's this message:

Wizz air

Silly question but are you visiting the website wizzair.com rather than using the app?
The instructions for downloading from the site are copied here from Wizz's Twitter account:
Hi, to download tickets you need to go to the check-in and bookings tab, enter your confirmation code and name, tickets will be ready to download after online check-in and you can print your tickets.

Puppylucky · 15/08/2024 09:22

Just seen you're using your mobile - try on a laptop as well

Naumann · 15/08/2024 09:45

The message suggests you will need to go to check out desk to show your passport before getting a boarding pass from the return flight. I wouldn’t panic.

Where are you going? some airports don’t support mobile boarding passes, or if you’re flying from somewhere where a non-Uk citizen would need a visa then they will need to physically check docs

DecafDodger · 15/08/2024 10:07

but the message says clearly you need to go to check in counter to get the boarding pass, because they want to check your travel documents. Nothing unusual.

Amazonmulu · 15/08/2024 10:19

I've tried on a laptop and when I click download pass pdf it has a losing circle spinning and then nothing.

I don't want a mobile pass I want a paper one.

I know some locations don't accept mobile passes so I'd like to print them. Having a boarding pass doesn't mean I won't show my passport it just means I have a ticket with assigned seat.

I've paid to get a boarding pass 🤦🏻‍♀️

You haven’t paid for a boarding pass

if you have to show the documents at the desk before a boarding pass is issued those are the rules unfortunately

Puppylucky · 15/08/2024 10:56

I flew with Wizz air a couple of years ago and have the printed out boarding passes to prove it! As others have said if that message is showing up for your return flight then you can't print a boarding pass ahead of time but it doesn't explain why you can't print the outward bound boarding pass. It maybe a temporary glitch on the website as I don't remember it being particularly sophisticated so maybe try again later but if all else fails you will be ok with a mobile only boarding pass flying from the UK.

Amazonmulu · 15/08/2024 16:01

Thank you - I'll keep trying

I've had this with Wizz. Sometimes you have to check in at the airport

jeaux90 · 15/08/2024 19:28

Sorry but why do you need to print it out? Isn't it downloaded to your phone?
