Just wondering if anyone else has had similar happen & all has been okay… Basically I applied for a passport renewal last week along with DC & DP first time passports. My Royal Mail tracking was signed for next day & did arrive last Wednesday AM. I’ve checked today & all of our tracking numbers are still saying awaiting documents even though Royal Mail have said they were delivered & signed for. I am in no rush as we have plenty of time as holiday isn’t until next year. Its more I am concerned they have lost all our documents including MIL birth certificate. I spoke to someone on the online chat expansive I sent off as a family but she only asked for 1 set of details along with Royal Mail tracking ect. Said she had passed it on. Low & behold I get a text saying they have received my old passport… I’ve then checked my tracking & it has been updated however DC & DP still no update although all were sent in same envelope! Which now leads me to believe nobody has actually physically gone to find it & has just gone off of Royal Mails tracking!

Probably sitting in a very large pile waiting to be allocated to someone to work on them. At least you know they've arrived and aren't hovering round und a Royal Mail depot.

I did think this time of year probs pretty busy which not fussed about how long it actually takes, I’ve just been worried our docs had been misplaced especially when I’ve had a scroll on FB & see people sending documents off after my but them being marked down as received ect. Although I don’t have FB to be able to comment on there about it.

I renewed my passport this year, along with getting babys first passport. I had the same issue as you, but it just appears they are slow to update the systems on their end, I received the dispatch email from them about 2 days after I had actually received the passports.

Ah really? It’s good to know it isn’t just me. Hopefully eventually everything will get moving. Just didn’t want our documents to be lost as they’re all together.

Did the envelope have all three application codes on, and were they all allocated to the same passport office?

WhenI did my DDs, I had to send them to different locations...

But... it took a week from the Passport Office receiving the documents to the system updating.

Yeah it did have all 3 codes on. One was meant to go to another office but if you’re sending off as a family you can send it all to one of the offices you’ve been given. By the looks of reading online Corby is very slow & annoyingly that’s the one I sent it too! Hopefully DPs & DSs tracking updates soon so I know nothing is lost.

Similar happened with me. Renewed 3 passports in June. Sent the 3 old passports together with tracking info, one was meant to go to another office, mine was done within the week and the kids were done about 10 days later. They were slow to update the kids details but once they did everything went through very quickly. DH renewed his last week and he had it within about 6 days!

Hopefully as a PP said they're just a bit slow in updating and by the end of next week you'll have the new ones

13 weeks? I renewed mine recently, admittedly in May and not peak holiday time and it came back in less than a week. Did yours have something unusual?

@DreamW3aver It was a couple of weeks ago (actually 3 and a bit weeks ago) I sent it off, and got my new one in 13 days

I don’t mind how long they take. Am in no rush for them as holiday isn’t until next year. Was more they hadn’t updated the system for awhile & now that they have it’s only my tracking that has updated & not the other 2 applications even though they were all sent together! I can only hope is it’s DC & DP first ever passports they may just be taking longer to update the tracking or something.

Only one is a renewal the other 2 are for first passports. I’m hoping this is why it’s taking longer for the system to update, although all docs were sent in the same envelope 😬
