Norfolk

For various reasons we are not having our usual holiday abroad in September this year so I am looking at places we have never been in the UK. I’m looking at Cambridge and then Norfolk over a 7 day period.

We will be in a motorhome and looking to book sites. Any recommendations of where to go or campsites to look at would be really helpful. Thankyou.

Kelling Heath near Sherringham is a really lovely campsite.

We live in Norfolk and have been to loads of different sites / places. We love Haven Caister the best as the direct beach access is lovely and you’re right in the middle of all the different seaside resorts. Personally we don’t like Cromer; although everyone else seems to love it. Although it’s Suffolk rather than Norfolk we absolutely love Southwold which to us is a nicer version of Cromer with a better (sandy) beach. Yarmouth is fun and typical seaside tacky arcades etc doughnuts. We tend to do days at all of them.

Sorry somehow missed the part about the motor home! Some of my message might still be helpful. 🙈

Try Old Buckenham, we stopped in for a drink but it looked like a lovely site!

Waxham Sands Holiday Park has direct beach access and we’ve seen seals on the beach on several occasions. If you prefer quieter campsites, Walnut Farm just down the road is lovely too.
Our favourite campsites in The Broads are Three Rivers Pitch and Paddle and Clippesby Hall.

Yes this is a lovely place. Well positioned to explore lots of areas too.
