catamaran holiday / Caribbean trip

We could have the opportunity to go on a catamaran holiday with the kids next year. However is this totally mad?! My ds would be 4 (4.5) and dd 18m. Dd is currently a super chill baby but Ds is pretty sensitive to lots of things and I’m wondering if he will hate the motion of the boat and we’ll have an awful week! Also wondering if it’ll be a nightmare having an 18mo on the boat too. Obviously would keep one of us with each of them at all times! But maybe it’s too soon and we should wait until they’re much older?

if that’s the case, does anyone have any recommendations of hotels that are super child friendly in the Caribbean where you can fly direct from the uk? (I’m aware this is a super privileged ask, not a usual
holiday for us at all, we’re lucky to be possibly going with family!)

Personally yes, I would wait til they are much older and I would not need to worry about them falling overboard all the time. While catamarans are much better than yachts from that perspective (more stable), they are certainly not child-proofed and fenced in. Can't see it being very relaxing, if you literally need to hold on to a child every second of the day.

Oh Christ my friends sold their boat after their first trip with kids. Both very experienced sailors. Swerve it for a few years.
