February half term - 1 week only?

Has anyone travelled to Mexico for one week only?

Would like to travel in February as it is a special birthday but unfortunately my eldest is starting high school so we are stuck to the half term dates only.

We could take her out 2-3 days early so we can travel for 10 nights but I’m guessing that is a big no no in secondary school!

Personally, I think it’s too long a flight for just a week. We’ve been to Mexico twice, both times for 10 days and it took us a couple of days to adjust to the time difference and acclimatise to the heat, especially at the time of year you’re planning to go.

It might be worth checking with the school about taking your dd out a few days early. We didn’t travel with kids so I’ve no idea of the protocol with a secondary school.
