Has anyone any experience of using admiral? We habe a travel policy with them and my husband has come down with a stomach bug and we are due to fly to our holiday on Thursday. Absolutely gutted as not been abroad for ages but at the moment he can barely get out of bed

Thanks - that’s good to know. Hopefully it won’t be necessary. If we could just get him on the flight I am pretty sure it will settle in a couple of days but I guess we will habe to go and see the gp tomorrow if he is still unwell

We habe two kids travelling with us - I am wondering about trying to get there solo with them and him following later. He is the driver and we were planning on a drive later in the holidah and to the airport but I guess we could work around that

My parents claimed from them and they were really good.

It's only Tuesday so unless you come down with it hopefully it will be fine on Thursday

I would phone Admiral today and ask them what they need for you to cancel and then tomorrow start the process of trying to get sometime in writing from your GP, best of luck with this, my cousin was ill with Covid a couple of weeks ago, was too ill to go, GP obviously wouldn’t see her, but she has to wait and pay for a letter from GP so she can claim. GP practice aren’t in any hurry to do it.
