We got caught up in the Eurostar disruption at the start of the Olympics & our train got cancelled. This meant we missed out on the event we were going to (no problem resold the tickets) but lost out on the hotel costs which were non refundable. Put in an insurance claim & they've offered a 'goodwill' payment of a third of the claim saying that vandalism isn't covered. Do you think I have any other options as seems a bit unfair we missed out on using the hotel through no fault of our own? Hotel was paid for via credit card - do you think they might help?
