Deciding where to go - Feb / March 2025 - Help please!!!

Hi all!

I'm looking at booking a holiday for early next year somewhere long haul and (hopefully!) hot and exotic. Unfortunately me and DP have used all our holidays from work this year already as we've had lots on so this is the earliest we can get away!

As I've said in the title, looking at Feb or March next year but Jan or April would be fine too - just want to avoid rainy seasons!

I was thinking of the following as options:

Sri Lanka
Malaysia
Dominican Republic
Zanzibar
Mauritius

I've travelled round SE Asia - Thailand, Vietnam etc - and loved them but want to try somewhere new.

We don't mind whether it's AI or whether we book flights and accommodation separately and go self catering. Also don't mind travelling round a bit (but still want time to relax on a beach with a cocktail or two!).

Can go for 14 - 18 nights and budget is around £3-4k for both of us.

All and any advice and tips welcome!!!

Did you decide on a holiday op?

We've done a lot of trips at this time of year because it's so nice to see some sun at that time of year.
Enjoyed Malaysia especially Lankawi for the relaxing part
Mauritius is nice but not a lot to do and take care re the side you stay on the east was really windy.
This year we went to India all the big sights then a stay in
Goa this might suit you budget wise very easy the beaches were fantastic as was the food.

I’d pick Sri Lanka from that list.
