Hi all, I am looking for any advice on saving a bit of money when booking for next summer. We’ve tended to holiday in the UK but I love the idea of an actual break from cooking etc! So looking at all
inclusive.
I'm looking at short ish flights, Spain etc. I’ve noticed a lot of the hotels we’d have to get two rooms to accommodate us all and with free child places we’d only get one. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations? It blows my mind, there is so much choice and I get overwhelmed after a few minutes looking. There will be me and DH, DCs 12/9/4/4. Are travel agents a lot more expensive? Thank you ☺️

My DSis has just come back from a Yelloh village campsite holiday where they got a half board package, meaning breakfast and dinner were completely taken care of and they just went to a cafe for lunches. They stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin.

Look at Pierre et Vacances - they have some Spanish properties with half board and even ai (or did pre Covid) you get a chalet/lodge. Also some hotels have 2 bed apartments for families but still are ai- I'm staying in a hotel with a 2 bed apartment in Portugal next year, I'll report back for future recommendations if it's nice!

What I actually found doing AI this year is there is a massive range.

And I found BA to be cheaper than TUI and with better flight times.

Sounds like you might need an apartment based AI there are quite a few but they get booked up early as do the two bed ones.

IME Turkey tends to be cheaper as does the Canary Islands (CI slightly more tolerable weather in the height of summer)

We've just booked our holiday for next August and have booked through First Choice. I've just saved over £700 on the full package by doing it myself online 👍 I've downloaded their app and can add and amend whatever I need to as well. Have fun searching. That's the best part for me lol 😆
