Hi,

Can someone explain how easyJet get away with saying ‘free child place’ included then on the total it adds in the child place?! Im so confused as on Tui & Jet2 its doesn’t charge or include in the total price yet on easyJet it says free child place then says £500pp and for 2 adults and a child it’s £1500 total? So child isn’t free?

the free child place is accommodation I think, you still have to pay for the plane for the child, if I recall from last time we went when DSS still qualified for the free place. But that was a while ago!!

They give you the free child place and then split the total between how many passengers.
Say 2 x adults and 1 x child and easyjet is saying £500 pp - total £1500 with free child place.
If you searched for the exact same holiday without the child it would say £750 pp - total £1500

They just word it badly so it doesn't look like you're getting a free child place when you actually are. God knows why

Why the hell do they do that 😂 I’m going to have a look now and see if the price changes.
that feels like such a long winded way of doing it & confusing!

Right I’ve just done the comparison and it’s the same price for 2 adults and 2 adults plus one child.
thank you for explaining!
still don’t understand why they do it that way! 😂

No idea- it must put so many people off booking with them as they don't think they're getting the free child place when they actually are.
