Weather in LA and Vegas mid June v late Sept

Hi

My husband and I are planning a trip to America next year: LA and Vegas next year for his 50th

We were considering June and then end Sept but Sept is proving trickier now with childcare, though that could be potentially resolved.

The heat and humidity is a concern of mine. Is anyone able to give any idea of what kinda of difference there is between the two choices of date. Google seems a bit vague.

We want to do 4 nights in LA around Hollywood and the studios and the 4 in Vegas considering the MGM grand

Thanks for your help.

Vegas in mid-June will be getting hot. But it's a dry heat generally with low humidity, which is better than too humid. I've been at the start of July and it was extremely hot (around 105F). The evenings are hot too. Thankfully everywhere has aircon, but if you are outside it's not pleasant at all.
The end of September is lovely. It's nowhere near as hot as the summer months. It's still hot but much more bearable (around 85F). So it's nice for walking around.

Been to Vegas loads of times.

MGM grand is ok nothing special though just so you know.

Weather is hot in the summer yes but that brings the pool parties etc so be aware of that.

I found the cosmopolitan nicer than the MGM but there is a lot of choice, depends what you want from your stay.

LA is a bit of a dump so pick your location well. Honestly it's not a city I would pick to stay in.

I've been to both Vegas and LA in June and September. It was hot both times, but it was fine. I am not a fan of high temperatures, but can deal with it if it's not too humid, which it isn't. Enjoy!

I wouldn't worry too much about weather in Vegas, yes it's very hot but there's not a huge amount of reason to be outside for long periods tbh. The casinos are all air conditioned and well connected, as are any other indoor activities you are doing. Even if you're renting a car and going out to do things like Red Rock you will be in and out of your car for respite.

You often get the "June gloom" in LA so Sept is probably better. LA downtown alone isn't glorious (though still has interesting things to see) but Santa Monica and up and down from there is a good location to be based.

I’ve been to Vegas in early Oct and it was low to mid 30s every day so imagine late Sept will be similar. Stayed in the MGM Grand as with budget conscious friends and tbh it wasn’t very nice but the lazy river at the pool is pretty cool and the location is decent.

Thanks for all the replies.

We've decided on June now as it's closer to his birthday and September was logistically complicated.
Now the planning can really start.
