Morning in Amsterdam with DC

We've got one morning in Amsterdam before our flight (in the afternoon) with 2 DC, 5 and 10. Will be travelling there from another city so haven't spent any time there before with DC. Any thoughts of anything to do/anywhere to go with them to avoid sitting in the airport all morning?

How long is “all morning”? Do you really have time for much? What time is your flight? Maybe take a canal trip? I don’t think you have time for museums. There’s the A’DAM lookout. Assuming it’s ok for dc snd it’s fairly near the station.

Second taking a canal trip if you've got time.

I wouldn't pick something sedentary before a flight with kids tbh so I don't think I'd do a canal tour. I'd go to Tony's supermarket and buy some chocolate - they could design their own chocolate bar which I found fun but you might not have enough time.

I'd go to Melly's and get toffee waffles and wander around.
