Hi there,
I’m thinking of booking a cheap getaway holiday to Palma with my husband this October - emphasis on cheap!

I have found a very good deal on LastMinute.com though I have heard some unreliable things about them. Can anyone tell me if they have booked and had a positive/negative experience with them? I wouldn’t normally use this site but as we’re looking for a VERY CHEAP holiday, it seemed like a good idea to at least check before I pay and potentially get scammed!

I've booked hotels with them twice. No problems.

Had problems but confirm with the hotel there you have a booking.

Lastminute are not a scam. They're one of the oldest established online travel agents out there. In fact they are one of the rare survivors of the original dot-com boom and bust. Of course, any company can have glitches.

If you are having doubts, is there a reason you can't book the hotel (now that you know the name I assume and that it's having a cheap weekend) and the flight by yourself? The transfer is easy (taxi €20-25, or airport bus €5 pp).

Out of interest, what's the name of the hotel?
