What is Morocco like?

I was wondering what people's experiences of Morocco have been like? Mainly Agadir/Tagzahout (not sure if those are the correct spelling sorry!) I quite fancy going next year with my partner (we are both 27 and childfree) but I was wondering if it was the type of destination where going all inclusive is best and you can't really leave your hotel or if its somewhere where if you get a hotel in the right location then its near bars and restaurants to venture out on a night? Also hotel experiences would be great too :)

We're just back this morning from Agadir, stayed at the Riu Tikida Dunas. Most of the hotels, this one included, is right on the sea front with a wide promenade between the hotel and the beach. The hotel is AI and was great, but we went over to the beach one day and also went for a walk down the promenade into Agadir. There were a few restaurants that we saw, and I think there are more at the marina, but we didn't go that far.

On the beach and on the promenade, there are quite a few people trying to sell you stuff, but a polite no thankyou and they went away. We never felt unsafe at all. The area is quite mixed, with lots of Moroccan families also holidaying, and felt very inclusive.

The only thing that was unexpected for us was the weather...we were expecting wall to wall sun but apparently in August there is a lot of mist/haze. It was still warm, and really hot when the sun did break through, but unexpected for us. Apparently this only happens in August though so visiting at other times would be fine.
