Krakow - what would you recommend doing?

As my title asks, what would you recommend doing/visiting on a trip to Krakow. Think we'd be interested to hear the most suggestions in hearing about most things as we enjoy architecture, history, museums, water, eating/drinking, pottering. Don't mind walking to visit anything worth seeing outside the Old Town where we're staying.

Just back. We wandered around the Jewish Quarter as well as the old town. There is Auschwitz which is just over an hour away. There is occassionally stuff on in the evenings near the castle by the river. The castle we just wandered around the free areas but worth a visit.

Salt mines and vodka tour. We used Eat Krakow which was a vodka and snack tour of traditional polish vodka and snack foods. Really, really interesting!

It’s a beautiful city. So many places to eat and drink, the food is fabulous. The castle by the river and the Jewish Quarter are a short walk from the main square. Auschwitz is harrowing but well worth a visit. St Mary’s Basilica is a gothic church in the main square and is absolutely stunning inside.

Go to this tiny dumpling shop and eat your body weight in pierogi.
You won't regret it.
