has anyone had a nice cottage in devon/cornwall

Interested in renting a cottage in Devon/Cornwall for a 4-7 day period between 23 and 30 May. We only need two bedrooms, don't smoke and don't have animals. We're looking for something fairly inexpensive, so don't mind if it is basic, provided it is very clean. Has anyone rented anything matching this description?

Thanks!

This cottage in North Devon is lovely, very secluded, easy drive from the sea and the owners are really nice.

It has just taken me two weeks of searching on th einterent to find a suitable cottage in that area for us for that week. Good luck!

Cornish homes holidays often have vacancies but the quality of the cottages varies. They have one in a village called Rosevidney not far from St Ives/Penzance that is idyllic.

We stayed near Perranporth in a gorgeous cottage booked through classic cottages. You can book online and their standaards seem to be very high. Our cottage was very big as we stayed with another family but they do smaller ones too. Good luck.

This is a lovely house which overlooks the sea. Great for toddlers and young children as owner has three young grandsons.

Good flat beach with large pools of water - great for young children as you don't have to worry about waves or dodging surf boards!!

Local facilities for young children include large Trampoline, sandcastle building, rock pools to look for sealife, stream to build dams across, great beach for kiteflying, crazy golf etc

Other places nearby include Port Isaac - where they filmed Doc Martin, Port Quinn - great for rock pools, Port Gaverne - great for little fishing boats, Rock for posh sailing boats, Daymear Bay - beautiful beach which is very safe for children (next to golf course and beautiful church where John Bechimain is buried).

Whoops forgot to say that the house has two bedrooms - one double & one with twin beds and a set of bunk beds. Huge sitting room overlooking sea. Fully suitable for people with mobility issues or disability - means it's great for buggies and prams too!

There's also this one that belongs to some friends and I know to be lovely, but it is a little more expensive.
