Marrakesh as a disabled person?

My husband and I are able to afford a foreign holiday next year and the family have agreed on Marrakesh (or Morocco more widely) as somewhere we would like to visit. I am a wheelchair user so would need to be suitable for me though we have a good sturdy wheelchair which can handle cobbles and I can walk a bit if theres steps etc.

Anyone done this? Or if you've been to Marrakesh with a pushchair how did you find it?

I went to Marrakech last year.

I use a wheelchair. It was just me.

Getting about was a bit tricky as some of the kerbs were very high and or cracked.
Pavements vanish into nothing so sometimes you have to go in the road.

Lots of people helped me.

The market and jamma el fnaa were fine.

Wheelchair taxi not a problem.

I took my folding wheelchair with me.

French New Town will be much more accessible but I prefer the medina.

I haven't been to Marrakesh but have you looked at Essaouira? The beachfront has a long paved promenade and much of the newer part of town is flat and open. Parts of the old town might be tricky as it's narrower alleyways but I think it's worth a visit. Only downside is it's not that big so 3-4 days is probably enough.
