Similar to Switzerland?

Can anyone suggest anywhere that is similar to Switzerland please? We went a couple of years again and loved the mountains and lakes, and all the public open air swimming pools. Walking and water sports. The kids really enjoyed it and fancied doing something similar again.
Thanks

Some ideas here for family campsites in the Black Forest https://www.eurocampings.co.uk/germany/black-forest/theme/camping-with-your-kids/

The Bodensee (just south of the Black Forest) is my recommendation. We stayed in Lindau, which is close to the border with Austria, so there were mountains and cable cars as well as lake swimming and open air pools in Bregenz. It's where the Germans go on holiday and absolutely brilliant imo.

Austria: Saalachtal near Salzburg is nice, lots of things for kids to do, lots of water sports - rafting, SUP and so on, and plenty of hiking.
Or Neustift im Stubaital.
Maria Alm (Hochkönig region).
Zell am See

Norway: somewhere like Voss or Rjukan, but I don't tend to stay in one place in Norway - do long distance hiking instead

Yet another vote for Slovenia. The wellness hotels are beautiful and relatively cheap. Ljubljana is expensive though but assume you're wanting to be in countryside anyway.

out of interest which part of Switzerland did you go to? if you haven't been to grindelwald or lauterbrunnen, it's worth going back to Switzerland

Lots of lovely suggestions here. Any recommendations for places to stay in the Black Forest with young kids? Was after a holiday park like you get in France or Holland but they don't seem to be a thing in Germany.

@AndAllOurYesterdays Not sure if they have one in the location you want but Landal have holiday villages in Germany

@AreYouShittingMe westayed in Kirchzarten,, it's close to Freiburg which is lovely.

It has a decent outdoor pool and usually accommodation comes with a Konuskarte = free local public transport that is within walking distance.

Things we did and I can recommend (using bus or trains) Hasenhorn Coster, Steinwasen park and Schauinsland - we did a bit of walking to the cable car.

@AreYouShittingMe we stayed in Lauterbrunnun and absolutely loved Switzerland. One of our favourite family holidays. I'm following your post.

In the UK - the Lake District!

Tromsø, Northern Norway. Loads to do in summer as well as winter. Hire a car and go hiking to the Blue Lake. Direct flights from Gatwick and Manchester at certain times of the year.

Norway, Austria, French Alps, Italian Alps, Lake Bled are all incredible
