New York Tips

We're going to NYC for 10 days on Saturday. We'll be staying in a hotel on Broadway which was cheaper than an Airbnb. I keep hearing how expensive it is, particularly eating out. Any recommendations of reasonable places to eat would be great. Thanks.

Although food in NYC is great and I would allow for some nice food in the budget.

Everyone likes what they like, but Olive Garden is a chain and the food is dreadful. There are tons of places to eat during the day--a dirty water hot dog is a real thing, a gyro from a Greek shop, just a bagel and cream cheese. But look for places that make their own food.

We found the food delicious and reasonable

So we arrived yesterday :) We ate in QUALITY PIZZA CO. MIDTOWN which is just round the corner from the restaurant and though very basic to look at has great reviews and the pizza was good. We'll hopefully have more energy to venture a bit further today. We going to the Empire State Building this afternoon and will be investigating what's on at theatres near us and where we should be queueing to try to get cheaper tickets.
