My lovely mumsnetters who have always helped us. I need to get a family of four to Paris near October half term. DD will be 17 and doing A-levels art and graphics and she really wants to see Paris for inspiration.

We live in the arse end of Norfolk so could fly from Luton, Stansted etc or I was wondering whether the Eurostar worth a punt? We would probably have to stay in London the night before for that (would probably have to do that for an early flight anyway!!). Out the 25/10 back 29/10.

What area in Paris best to stay? Usual museums and sights to see. Hotel or air BNB?

The hive mind has always helped us, advice appreciated.

@TranquilWater please can you recommend any apartments or apartment providers. I have a 7-10 day trip to Paris planned for late April/early May. Half the trip is organised and I have no choice about activities but don't yet have a full itinerary. I have decided to add extra days to more generally sight see at the end as I haven't been to Paris for decades.

Hi @socialdilemmawhattodo , I don’t have any particular addresses or providers, I’m afraid, I just look on Airbnb for something available in an area I’m familiar with, ideally with a super host, if possible. If I can’t find anything suitable, or it’s just for one night, then I go for Ibis or Mercure hotels. Wishing you a wonderful trip.

We stayed in a budget hotel a 5 min walk from St Pancras and took the Eurostar first thing, really easy.

Thank you for your reply! I havent been to Paris in possibly over 25 years, so very rusty on good areas. And although some of the trip is organised our accommodation isn't which makes life interesting!
