malaga car hire

Just managed to get flights for me dh and dd to malaga for a fortnight in june/july for £230 which i thought was a bargin. Now need to find a cheap hire car for the two weeks, any suggestions?

Hi, we used Carjet at Malaga airport. They were cheap but v..v...long queue to get the car (About 1.5 hours, not good when you have toddlers!!).

Try and find a smaller company who meet and greet at the airport. We did this last year at Faro Airport and it was so much quicker and still reasonable.

Ooo Ruthie - who did you use at Faro?

We used Carjet in Majorca. Would recommend them, we didn't have to wait.

if you go online with holidayautos then they are usually the cheapest. Holidayautos usually uses Crown Arigua as a ground agent. However the queue for their stand at the airport is HUGE. So as soon as you get through passport control, one of you waits for the luggage and the other heads down to the carhire bit and queues. If you do that then it doesn't take too long.

we use carjet from gibraltar.

the trick at malaga is for one of you to get the bags and the other to go straight to car hire desk, beat the queue.

I would recommend carjet as well.

Cheapest we found last mnth was by going through travelsupermarket.com Who was cheapest vey much depended on which car you wanted. We ended up with something like Crown Aurora (?) and friend's another company, despite booking at same time. All the car hire places are together in the irport.

We used helle hollis twice last year. I'm not sure if they are the cheapest but they were good. If you do use them, make sure you book the car to be collected and dropped at their Malaga Head Office. It is very close to the airport. A mini bus meets you at the terminal - no need to arrange it, it just goes back and forward all day. Completely beats the queues, which at Malaga Airport are massive.

Hi Saggarmakersbottomknocker.........In Faro we have used lagoscarhire.com twice. They were excellent. Meet you in the terminal, pay then and show you to car. Took minutes and a lovely car. Reasonable rates.

Hi Littlecheese... can only suggest you do a google search. Like the idea of one of you going ahead to join queue, you could try that. Sounds like some are happy with carjet.
