Hotel recommendations mainland Spain

I am well travelled but not in Spain and fancy the short flight.
I want a seafront hotel with good food (we need to go half board for various reasons). Busy resort with a good promenade and plenty of bars with music.

Doesn't have to have a good beach but I like to swim in the sea.
Not interested in culture or sightseeing just want a week to relax, walk and eat.
Doesn't have to be adults only but not a family hotel. It will be late September.

I like Calla Millor in Mallorca, Corralejo in Fuertaventura and Playa Blanca in Lanzarote if that helps?

Tossa De Mar is my favourite place on earth.

Flights to Girona Costa Brava from many UK airports or an hour from Barcelona.

This hotel is close to everything and beautiful.

Lots of restaurants, bars, cafes, walks.

We stayed here a couple of years ago, really nice place, on the Costa Tropical, should still be nice in September. Right near the beach but has a rooftop pool and jacuzzi (and two bars, one of them rooftop). The breakfasts are really nice and there's loads of restaurants on the promenade, all kinds of seafood. It's an easy journey from Málaga airport - just the one bus. Very scenic. The staff are fabulous and the rooms are really good, clean and modern. I don't know which travel agents use it because we were there as part of a longer trip so booked it independently. Most of the other guests were Spanish (it's a resort that Spanish people go to).

Oh and it does half board too, again lovely food, all nice and fresh. Almunecar is a very charming place, quite green for southern Spain, people get out and about and have nice evenings but it's not rowdy.
