October half term holiday

I’d like to go away with DH and kids (12&15) for some beach time. I need something more interesting than just beach and pool, so was thinking about a Greek island, but I keep reading that holiday areas are all shut up by then. Anyone have any experience of this? Or any suggestions of where we could go?

Plenty going on in October half term. Head South though for better weather.
Crete? Rhodes?
Cyprus?

Cyprus is great and plenty to explore- Paphos stays lively the longest out of all the resorts.

I think Rhodes would be ok but I have no personal experience.

Pissouri Bay is beautiful in Cyprus, about 30 mins from Paphos
