Hi,

While you are away this year if you have any great suggestions for us.
Next August.
Family of 5 (3 teenagers - so accommodation with space - 2 bed or more)
Not too pricey.
Near a water park.
Definitely a pool on site and walking distance to beach.
Open to all sorts of suggestions from S/C to AI.
(We were thinking Turkey, Greek Island, Balkans....)

  • I like quiet, relaxing holidays where I can soak up culture....teen wants typical sun break with water park and activities....not sure the holy grail of both exists!!

We stayed at Marbella in Corfu. Was lovely. Had its own private beach with water sports and boat trips, a couple of pools and its own small water park.

Look at Tenerife. The waterpark there is great - Siam Park. We stayed in costa Adeje last year which is near the waterpark. We did self catering as I love eating out at different restaurants each evening and I think it’s a way of seeing the area a bit but there’s loads of options.

That looks amazing. But way out of our budget. Thanks though.

What's your budget?

Mumdiva99 · 20/07/2024 09:32

Depends on whether self catering or AI. For AI I think I have to look at around £1500ish per person
I would like to get self catering for half that.....
However.....we don't usually do these types of holidays in the summer because I see the cost and equate it to how many years University Tuition it would be!!! So I might he being unreasonable.

I like my accommodation to be clean, comfortable and spacious.

Colina Village in Carvaoeiro on the Algarve, Portugal- easy to get to Waterpark via cheap UberXL, nearby supermarket and town, sea kayaking through caves - lovely family place with pool

TUI do hotels with small waterparks attached or free access to a nearby one

Hotel Porto Bello Royal in Kos.

We went in September 2020. It’s right on a private beach which is very safe to swim in. There’s multiple pools, the food is very good. The rooms are very modern and clean. There’s a bus stop outside which takes you into the local town, although we had a car because we wanted to explore the island. The waterpark is just at the back of the hotel, across the car park. When we went it was free because hardly anyone was there, but it’s discounted for hotel guests now.
