Would you stay at Property A or Property B?

Going to an island called Antigua for a week in January. Trying to decide between a small hotel or an airbnb. What do you think is better?

Property A: https://www.booking.com/Share-cLatfb
bed and breakfast, walking distance to restaurants, but a taxi to the beach. Hotel has a pool nearby. £1,300 a week if booked directly.

Property B: https://www.airbnb.com/slink/i6oND7BP shared pool. Would rent a car for £250 a week, accommodation is £1,000. So £1,250 a week without breakfast.

Which would you do?

Air BnBs are terrible for the local community, I would choose a hotel every time.

Actually airbnb are good for bars, restaurants, local shops, supermarkets. All inclusive hotels are devestating for tge above. Agree not good if there are too many in one place, high cost of housing, little to rent.

@allanaarkwright 650m from prop A to beach is walkable isn’t it?

Both sound great, depends what kind of stay you want really. I note Coco cottage is underneath another suite but then that happens in hotels too.

I’d like not to HAVE to have a car to be honest … can then choose to rent if I decide to, but sounds necessary for B.

I’d go for A too.
