Where to go in Greece?!

Goodmorning all. New to the forum but I’d love some recommendations for travel destinations in Greece please. My family and my in laws are planning a trip to Greece next summer but have no idea which island to go to. We have shortlisted Naxos and Kefalonia but can’t decide between the two. There are 3 children, 5,3,2. We want to be close to lovely beaches but also a nice town and would love to do a boat trip so a pretty coastline would be amazing. Then the usual things like quaint Greek town and amazing food.
Any personal recommendations would be so helpful. Or if you can highly recommended a different island that you think would fit the bill.

Parga is absolutely beautiful and fits the bill. A water taxi or short walk takes you to Valtos which is very pretty with lots of shops.

We are going to Parga this Sunday! Staying at Valtos Beach Hotel. Bit nervous about the heat and the beach being packed but can update afterwards with a honest review if helpful.

Kefalonia is nice for kids, I can’t remember where we went but there were fab shallow beaches.
