Hello! First time poster here and looking for something that may or may not exist! Does anyone know of anything in Europe that is like the brilliant campsites you get in terms of facilities but had actual cottages/gites instead of mobile homes or tents? I've googled to death and can't really find anything quite the same.
I had brilliant holidays in mobile homes on French campsites growing up and would love to take my own children but I am emetophobic now and the thought of having all 6 of us in a small mobile home with one bathroom fills me with dread and I know I wouldn't sleep. So basically it needs at least two bathrooms 😅

We stayed in a Yelloh! one tears ago (booked direct) where there were cottages. I can't remember if it has more than one bathroom though.
I'll see if I can find it.

Some high-end mobile homes have two bathrooms.

Like this one at La Garangeoire in the Vendee - no air con, though.

Or the Siblu chain's Sérénité mobile homes.

We always get a static that is for 8 instead of 4 (including the pull out). More space. Two bathrooms. We've had three toilets before.

Some of the eurocamp sites have very posh mobile homes probably some 2 bathroom ones

Marblessolveeverything · 14/07/2024 11:57

I stayed in a few Euro camps and one "mobile" had three shower/toilets. To be honest it was like a cottage.

Eurocamp do mobiles with 2 showers

It was Parc les Alicorts. It's no longer owned by Yelloh by the look of it but seems to have some 2 bathroom accomodation.
https://www.sandaya.co.uk/our-campsites/les-alicourts/rental-units

It's now Resort Des Alicourts and has been taken over and has been turned into a huge resort. It's pretty loud and busy now, not well maintained at all. Expensive, dirty, loud, awful service in bar amd restaurants. We've been going for years but last two times it's been awful, really wouldn't recommend it anymore. It's full of very loud and very drunk Brits.

What a shame. It's many years since we went there twice - I'm guessing 20 years ago.

MissAmbrosia · 14/07/2024 20:09

Ive had many Eurocamp vans with 2 bathrooms. Some of the big Italian sites also do chalets and appartments - e.g Union Lido You can look on Eurocamp and then look up the sites directly.

oustedbymymate · 14/07/2024 20:30

Center parcs Europe! We've been to her Meerdal and Erperheide so far and loved it. There's loads to pick from

Lokshen · 14/07/2024 20:31

Eurocamp do lovely 2 bathroom mobile homes, so it might sort your issue.
Otherwise, centerparcs in Europe (Netherlands) is cheaper and has proper lodges

mitogoshi · 14/07/2024 20:32

They have bungalows and apartments even hotels on some sites. Look at pra del torri in Italy, has everything

User2123 · 14/07/2024 21:45

If you see a Eurocamp you like, check the campsite's own website as they often have nicer accommodation you can book directly. Somewhere like Domaine des Ormes for example has loads to choose from like wooden cottages, chalets, apartments. https://www.lesormes.com/en/holidays-and-stays/accommodation

Or as PP said, European Center Parcs is worth a look! Similar price to Eurocamp and great pools. Also Landal sites very similar.
