Holiday with 10 week old - uk or abroad?

Hi,
We are looking to go on holiday in September and are not sure whether to do a staycation or go abroad?
our baby will be around 10 weeks adjusted (16 weeks actual- 6 weeks early).
looking for people’s opinions on wether it’s worth going abroad or not? We are EBF so won’t have the issue of taking formula/ sterilising etc.
what are your experiences of taking a baby abroad vs a staycation in UK?
thanks!

Would never stay in the UK. Just look at the weather in mid July!

Try Italy. They are very tolerate with babies and you will be able to sit outside.

The UK is a washout literally for a holiday.

Abroad. No brainer

I'd stay in the UK. I'm someone who loves to travel, but it's too stressful to take a tiny baby abroad if you don't have to. You've got to sort out a passport asap and at 10 weeks you're only just getting to know your DC and maybe get into some sort of routine with them. Besides, September is usually the most settled month for weather, just as DC go back to school, sweltering in their winter uniform!

We went to Dorset when one of our DSs was a baby and it was lovely. I highly recommend it, if it's convenient for where you live. You can chuck whatever you need in the car - pram, travel cot, changing mat, play mat, bouncy chair, etc and off you go.

I'd go abroad

I'd go abroad and did go abroad when they were that age, but not to a hot country.

I’d go abroad rather than holiday in the UK. The change in routine will happen regardless and at least you’ll have nice weather.

Also, flying with a toddler is a pain, so go now before she’s mobile.

I’d definitely go abroad, I travel a lot and it’s much easier when they’re younger than 6 months. Just put them on the boob and they’ll sleep/ eat the whole flight. I also find they can nap anywhere at that age and you can sit and relax while they nap in the buggy.

Definitely abroad. So easy to travel with babies when they’re tiny and airlines are usually really kind and helpful.
Agree Italy is a great choice as they love children.
Make the most of picking a more adult destination- Rome, Florence? - while you can!
