Thailand/Cash

Hi, could anyone advise if it's worth taking a fair amount of cash with us on a holiday to Thailand ( Bangkok or Phuket) or will card use suffice for most things. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I take cash with me and exchange it at an airport or any banks over there. I don’t exchange all in one go. It is very quick and easy. I go there yearly.

We used cards a fair bit & took a card that we could get cash out with (with no fees for using overseas).

We take cash as most restaurants/ bars etc don't do card so you'd have to use a atm.
We've found there are loads of exchange places and always get a good rate, so we change £££ every other day.
