Private taxi from Arecife airport

Has anyone experience or any recommendations please?
We have booked a last minute package holiday and it includes coach transfer which we would rather not do.

I have looked at a pre booked private transfer and it’s £170 return.

Are the airport taxis all licenced and metered does anyone know?

Or might we use Uber?

We are staying in Playa Blanca.

I just queued up at the taxi rank at the airport and got a cab that way. I was surprised how cheap it was (euro 5, though I was only going to matagorda which is the first town next to the airport). Sorry I can't rmbr if they are licensed etc, I felt perfectly safe but I was with my (now ex) husband so I may be more mindful to check if I was travelling solo.

I've asked a similar question about taxis on another island on TripAdvisor before, and got helpful replies, so perhaps try there if no one here knows.

Just got a taxi. It was fine

There’s loads of taxis - we always get one to puerto del carmen, it’s much quicker and reasonably priced

I've always booked transfers on Hoppa and they have been great

All taxis are licensed in the canaries. White cars with a green light on top. You won't have any issues just leaving the airport and jumping in one (unless you are a large group)

The journey to playa blanca is quite a long one from the airport. I went in Feb, it must only be about 40/50 euros one way.
