Has anyone got the bus from Malaga airport to seville? Would you recommend? Do I need to book in advance or do I just turn up on the day? Thanks in advance

I've looked at the train but it seems to take longer and involves a change - any advice much appreciated Grin

Take a look at trainline. You can book a train direct from Malaga to Seville and vice versa. Some are faster than others and direct. I’ve done it a few times and it’s easy.

allow time to go through security. I think it’s cheaper if you book ahead.

enjoy.

I've got the bus from Granada to Seville, which is further and would recommend it based on that.

Quick modern air conditioned coach and they gave us a bottle of water and some cheap headphones, but this was about 10 years ago so they might not do that now because covid, more 'plastic reduction' awareness and surely anyone who wants headphones has their own now?

Are you looking on Alsa.es, which is like National Express?

I've travelled around Andalusia by bus quite a bit and have the Alsa.es app. I've just looked at that journey for today and it says the first two coaches are full but there is availability later today so that would suggest that maybe you do need to book in advance but that could be as little as about 10 minutes before departure (not exactly sure how long this is I think its somewhere between 5 and 20 minutes before the upcoming journey disappears from the app but obviously depends on if the bus fills up).

I also am not sure if the coach goes from the airport itself or if you have to get the train into the city first? But there's loads of trains.

Other thing to note is that in the app you can buy a pack of 3 tickets for the route in either direction for less than the cost of a return if you're also coming back to the airport.

For the train look on Raileurope. There's direct trains from the city station.

But the fast trains only appear to be showing for journeys in the next month and the cheaper slower train for the next 2 months.

You could see if there's a Renfe app and look in there too.

Also try blabla cars. Bookable taxi journeys is a shared cab. Often cheaper than bus.
