Sri Lanka - Help! am having a wobble....

We're heading off to Sri Lanka with our two teenage girls, 15 &17 in a couple of weeks' time.
We've been before 8 years ago, when they were small, and had lots of fun. But we were there in winter.
I'm now getting slightly anxious about it! We've got 16 days to travel about. Happy to be quite active and 'see stuff'. Plus also want some beach time. I've started worrying about the whole holiday, ie, will the teens be bored? will it be too hot/rainy/humid? Will they cope? Tips from others please! Have you taken teens to Sri Lanka in summer? What did they enjoy? How was the weather etc...Where did you go in July? Last time we spent most of our time on the south coast near Unawatuna and Tangalle. Not sure that will work this time!

They'll love it!
Mine were aged 10-15 when we went in UK summer holidays and had a fab time. They are around the same age as yours now and 100% would love it again.
Our route (fairly standard summer route) was airport (train to) Habarana - Nilaveli - Arugum Bay - Ella (train to) Kandy - airport.
Sight seeing (sigarya), elephant great gathering, fab food, snorkeling (pigeon island), surfing lessons, tea plantations, trains.....
So much to do you'll need a holiday to recover.

P.s. rain - minimal other some spectacular storms after dark.

There is loads of stuff to do in Sri Lanka.... you don't need to go anywhere near the beach.
