Girls holiday for 40th birthday - where to go?

I am thinking about going away for my 40th in June next year. I would like somewhere with great nightlife not very long flights from the UK and somewhere nice and sunny. Any ideas?

Also would it be better to book a villa or a hotel? As some of my friends might only be able to come for the weekend but I would like to stay for a week maybe. So I was thinking maybe a villa would be better.

Malaga has great nightlife and short flights. I’d go for a hotel, so your friends can pay for their room for however long they stay for. Makes splitting the costs so much less complicated. And you don’t have to worry about taking it in turns to cook, splitting costs of food, catering for different likes/dietary requirements etc etc…

Alicante? Palma?

Palma, Malaga, Marbella (the nice bit not Banus), Ibiza, Mykonos, Barcelona, Amalfi coast .....

Ummm? Cornwall? You can fly in and out of Newquay airport. If you go in June, you'll beat the holiday crush. The weather is a bit of a gamble but if you get good weather you're winning. Friends could fly down or catch a train for the weekend or depending on where you live drive. Jersey is also really nice for a birthday weekend as well.

I'm planning ibiza with the girls next year for my 40th, can't wait! Have fun OP wherever you decide to go!

I will also add, it will likely be a hotel booking as PP says, you don't have to worry about cooking etc.

We did a villa in ibiza last year but there were loads of us and we all shared the cleaning/cooking etc. Villas in ibiza tend to be out of town and taxis are difficult so we're going for a hotel this time so we can be close to all the pubs/clubs etc.
