We want to go away the last week in August, 2 adults and a 7 year old boy. Looking for somewhere with a nice pool, nearby beach, ideally a couple of attractions nearby and a water park would make my son very happy. We went to Tenerife a couple of years ago so not there. Love Croatia so open to Croatia suggestions or anywhere similar! Thanks.

Somewhere along the coast in Istria might fit the bill.

Aquapark Istralandia is a really good Waterpark, as is Aquapark Aquacolours. Various zoos / theme parks / adventure parks.

I would look at Novigrad, Porec or Funtana or even Rovinj, although I do think the better ‘kids’ attractions are up around the first three.

You could look at Valamar Parentino Hotel, Hotel Parentium Plava Laguna or Istria Premium Camping resort if that would be an option (Eurocamp style)

Atlantica Aegean Blue is one of my favourite hotels with a waterpark. We did a few day trips as it’s well-located - Butterfly Valley was the best.

Thank you. The Atlantica Aegean blue looks good.

we’ve been to Porec before and loved it, will take a look again as our DS was a baby then so what we wanted then was quite different!

@lowsugarchilli It’s about 20 mins walk from the harbour. The beach is fairly stoney but the water is crystal clear and blue. There is a sandy stretch of beach further on. Always enough sun loungers.
It’s great for teens and tweens. There’s an older section of the waterpark for which you must be a minimum height of 1.2m or a minimum age of 12 years. The rides in the children's section are for ages 4 to 12 years. There’s also a room with pool, video and arcade games.

For a family trip like that, you might want to check out places that offer a mix of relaxation and activities to keep your son entertained. If you’re considering Croatia, there are some great spots along the coast that have lovely beaches and family-friendly resorts.

Another idea is looking into places that are close to both a beach and attractions like a water park or nature reserves. It’s always nice to have a few options for day trips or activities nearby. One of my favorite tips is to look at places like hotel bencoolen.
