Just wondering is eftiling worth 3500 for 3 nights for 2 adults and one child. We have been to disney twice and loved it.
Thanks

That seems very expensive.
We have been twice and stayed in 2 different caravan parks nearby.
The Landal Kaatsheuvel should be worth looking at, which is new, so haven't actually stayed there, but stayed in a few other Landal holiday parks and they are always nice.
You can then drive to Efteling or hire bikes.

How did it end up that expensive? We've always done it for c. 1500 for accommodation (bosrijk woodland house) and park for 5 days and then get the tunnel over which adds cost but not another 2k!

Is it the cost of flights?

Definitely worth it - but ÂŁ3500 for 3 days seems steep

Should have said we've always been in school hols but half term not summer so maybe the costs are higher when the Dutch are off school

Ash19 · 01/07/2024 19:11

Yes it's cost of flights to Amsterdam and then transfer as well

If you live anywhere near the east side of the country I’d recommend getting the ferry from Harwich or Hull.

We stay at Landal Kastsheuvel which is really nice and cheaper than staying at the park. Yes we love the Efteling but dc are half Dutch so have grown up with it.

Or drive and do the tunnel if you're midlands or further south. We've done it a couple of times with a stop on the way in Belgium for 24 hours (you can't check in until 4 so might as well spend some time somewhere else) and then drive the full distance on the way back. Apart from Antwerp the roads are good once you get out of Britain

How much? That is far too expensive! A day there is enough and find some cheaper accommodation nearby. It's like Thorpe Park with fairies. It's very lovely but for 3.5k you could have a lovely week somewhere!

CowgirlGunburger · 01/07/2024 20:23

We love it there but that's more than double what we recently paid for 4 of us (ferry, 2 nights house on the park, 3 days entry)

MojoDojoCasaHouse · 01/07/2024 21:10

That’s an insane amount of money. We paid less for ferry, two nights at Efteling and a week at a holiday park. We drove via Harwich ferry. Or just stay offsite and do a day for about 50 euro each and see if you like it. Loads of family friendly holiday options in The Netherlands.
