I fly from southern hemisphere to Uk yearly.
Have found a really good deal with stop-off in Oman…Muscat.
Has anybody been there? It looks interesting .
Have always avoided Dubai… horrible exploitative place ?Is Oman better?

Oman is wonderful, nothing like Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Well preserved heritage, wonderful people, beautiful scenery.

You can’t go wrong with a visit to Oman. Its a wonderful place, the people are lovely and culturally the past still matters very much.

Re the Chedi - we have many more hotels now that are worth considering.

I've also stayed at Chedi! And then 4 days in a lovely beach hut hotel.

Loved Oman when I went. Different, nice, felt safe, no issues at all. Not as expensive as Dubai, but still expensive.

Always fancied Oman.

Is that with Air Oman?

We went to Muscat for some winter sun this December/January.
Was a lovely place.

We haven't been to Dubai though we've been to Abu Dhabi for a couple of nights stopovers.

I have stayed in others but they were edging towards the Dubai bling side.

Sorry to hijack but is it possible to do tours to WDi Shab/tiwi which don’t involve a hike? Travelling with my Mum and 6 year old but would love to see it
