can anyone tell me if when travelling with Ryanair with a baby - are you allowed a baby change bag as well as your own under the seat luggage ? This is the impression the Ryanair website gives but obviously you can’t trust a thing they say ! Thanks !

Is your baby flying as a lap infant? When we flew earlier this year, adults of lap infants were allowed an extra 5kg baby bag in addition to their own cabin allowance.

This is a bit unfair. Ryanair are the airline I trust most to stick by their own rules, strict though those often are. Their staff are pretty well-trained and know the rules off by heart. They do not say "Oh yeah, that's what the website says but it's not true, we changed the policy six months ago" when you show up (which has happened to me on an ostensibly "nicer" airline).

In this case it's clear from the website what you are entitled to. Two items of equipment (stroller, car seat, etc) and a 5kg bag. See https://help.ryanair.com/hc/en-gb/categories/12503095332497-Travelling-With-Children and this screenshot.

(I have no affiliation with Ryanair other than as a frequent and mostly-satisfied customer. But this throwaway "Oh, Ryanair, well, what do you expect?" attitude annoys me a bit.)

Yes ! So I can take my normal under the seat bag plus a 5kg changing bag . Thanks very much for your helpful reply ! x

I agree with @samarrange . I fly frequently with Ryanair and you can trust what they say. I just see far too many muppets who think the rules don't apply to them.
