Hi. Friends are off to Amsterdam for their daughter's 21st.

Does anyone know of an instagrammable restaurant they could go to? Similar vibe to the Ivy?

I understand why you're asking but it's a really depressing thing to ask only about how it looks on IG without caring what the food is like.

Secret Garden maybe or The Duchess? I know exactly what you meant by the phrase, it’s just another way of saying somewhere appealing to the 21 year old for a special birthday night out.

Do you care about the food and environment at all? Or just want a good photo?

Actually we like the food at the Ivy! Even my snobby stepfather.

I was just trying to find a fun place that is pretty with nice food. Her parents are foodie but wouldn't want the stuffiness of a Michelin place.

In the olden days people went to a restaurant for nice food not a photo shoot

Spot on. Somewhere a bit glam and fun. Not hushed and all about the tasting menu.

Ctaste (dining in the dark, served by people who are visually impaired). Great food. Different experience. Lots to talk about. Probably not great photos.

Actually The Secret Garden looks nice.
