Hi, looking for some advice please, if anyone can help? I'd like to take my daughter somewhere special for her first holy communion next year, but am not too keen on taking her to Disneyland due to their involvement with the Gaza conflict and we did Lapland a few years ago.. Has anyone been to Eftelling in Holland? Or can anyone suggest an amazing theme park and water park in Europe? Grateful for any advice from anyone:) x

The efteling is fab, we have enjoyed it in both warm and cold months. We combined with a stay at centerparcs in the Netherlands, which is much cheaper than the UK.

Efteling is very magical and works for all ages. You may also enjoy the lack of merch on sale.

We went their last year with our 9 year old twins. Was amazing- I would go back in a second! Lots of rides, food was good too not too expensive and not all junk food, it is properly magical and the accomadation was brilliant too. We stayed in one of the hotel rooms is the Bosjik part of the park, again really magical kids had their own bunk room and got a book and a night cap fitting in with the theme in the room. We have been to Disneyland (LA and Paris) and Universal in the past few years and Eftling wins hands down and for a fraction of the cost.

there are multiple threads on here about Efteling
I loved it. We went to Disneyland Paris this year wouldn’t go back but 100% would go back to Efteling
nicer, better food, just much less of a general ripoff!

We went to Efteling at May half term with our 8 & 11 year olds. They both loved it. We did two nights at Looschland, which gave us three days park entry. We then moved on to Beksee Bergen, which is a fab safari resort about a twenty-thirty minute drive away. We stayed in the hotel there, but there are lots of options for accommodation with direct views in the animals (we had giraffe, rhino and zebra right outside). They have a play area which has water slides, slides into the lake and you can swim in the lake when it's warm enough. Not exactly a water park, but great fun. I only mention this, as it was great add-on, but you could also visit for a day from Efteling, or vice versa.

Ah Anoida that's where we are going this year!
