Guernsey with a toddler

Just that really… does anyone have any recommendations for a) things to do which would work well with a three year old and b) locations to base yourself in if you don’t have a car, ideally in a holiday flat or cottage? 😊

St Peter Port is the best base for public transport. For a 3yo, there’s an aquarium, little tourist train and lots of family friendly dining. You can catch a bus to Oatlands Village which has lots to do. From St Peter Port, you can also take the ferry to Jersey which only takes an hour.

Oh- such happy memories of my two toddlers in Guernsey!
We stayed Cobo bay- years ago.
It was heaven.
Lovely beaches. Cafes.
St Peter port for shops. Saumerez park had a nice play area I think.
Shell chapel.
I'll remember more.

Cobo is a good location or Ellingham cottages in St Martin.

the library in town is wonderful for kids- they redesigned it a few years ago and has a brilliant children’s section.

I lived there for years and am going back this summer myself. Happy to answer any questions I can.

Guernsey is fantastic with kids - I have to admit I am biased though as I live here.

Public transport is pretty good if you are near a bus route - Cobo bay hotel is a great spot - right on the beach front and nice places to eat nearby.

If you want to stay in a self-catering there are a few places on AirbnB. Also if you are confident on a bike it is possible to hire really great bikes including cargo bikes which would give you much more freedom.
