Hi

we are going abroad in the summer when my daughter will be 5 months old, I was just after any tips people had for travelling with a baby that age?

also what swimwear should I take for her? Will a thermal swimsuit be too much?

thanks

If you're flying then try and time feeds with take off and landing, this really helps with pressure/ears popping.

If you can, buy a cabin approved pram. We had a long walk to baggage claim when we landed so I was so grateful we could just pop her in the pram the second we were off the plane.

If it's a hot country then yes the thermal would be too much. We bought a lovely swimsuit from Jojo Maman Bebe with a matching hat that completely covered her, but it was very thin so kept her cool!

Don't worry too much about timings/routines. We flew to a country 2 hours ahead but we never bothered trying to adjust her schedule. She went to bed later than normal and got up later than normal so that suited us just fine.

Overall it was nowhere near as stressful as I expected! Enjoy!

You won't need thermal but I like to get suits with full arms and legs as then there is less skin on show/to put suncream on

Full length swim suit.

As pp, don't stress about routine she'll likely sleep more with the heat.

Water for her bottles needs to be low sodium, if formula fed.

We bought a little inflatable boat once there and put pool water in and he would sit in it with toys under the umbrella. He loved it.

A fan to attach to pram, sunbed etc.

Spare clothes for you both for flight.

We ordered nappies and formula to boots at airport and collected once through security.
Couple more things to carry but we only had one hand luggage and pram so was fine.

Muslins, great for everything!

It's an easy age as they aren't mobile.

Hope you have a lovely time.

Yeah just like any other order.
I would check times though, I had to order 3 weeks before, they hold for 14 days

Most have been mentioned but also talcum powder for the beach! Gets the sand off and is also good for preventing sweat rashes.
