Where to take baby this July

Wondered if anyone could recommend a good place to go on hol with a 13 / 14 month baby this July.

(We have been abroad with him a few times already and it's not been hell so far).

Looking for somewhere pretty, kid friendly and not too hot.

Any ideas?

The Hague in the Netherlands is pretty, child-friendly, coastal (good sandy beaches), easy to get to, has lots to do, and won’t be too hot.

We found loads of restaurants with kids meals and high chairs. I’ve found that the Dutch don’t eat their evening meal as late as the Spanish, French or Italians, so restaurants are open and buzzy at a time that works well for families with very young children!
The city is as flat as a pancake and no cobbles so very easy with a stroller. All buses and the newer trams have a low floor, which means you can just roll the stroller into the tram.
We stayed at the Novotel Suites Den Haag City Centre, which suited us pretty well and was handy for the train station and our various day trips to other cities. Suites makes it sound fancy – it wasn’t, but it had a (tiny) kitchenette for making bottles and storing all the bars of Tony’s Chocolonely we bought on the first night there (yes I know they sell it in the UK now but the Dutch are still keeping the best flavours for themselves).

Sounds delightful, thank you!
How long did you go for and which cities did you visit?
We were thinking seven days but don't know if that might be a bit too long for a city type break.

Any of the Balearics.

We went to Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Gouda, Utrecht and Delft. Spent a day on the beach and spent a day exploring The Hague.

Wow, you fitted a lot in.
Thank you. Doesn't sound like a week is too long.

The Netherlands is pretty small so it really doesn’t take long to get between places. We did Gouda and Utrecht in the same day. It literally takes 20 mins on the train to travel between them.

Sounds great, thank you! Smile

I always loved Italy but will be hot, such a kid friendly place.

I've also done The Hague and NL many times as we have family just on the coast. It's really nice and not too hot.

I will say to you though the best kids clubs are with Scott Dunn as your DC gets older and they also have great childcare services and really nice locations.
