Flying to the USA with under 2s

Hi, I've just come back from NY, travelled with 18 month old ds and had a wonderful experience.

On arrival, immigration officials let you jump the queue if you have children (if they don't see you, don't be afraid to ask the queue attendant)

People where incredibly friendly everywhere I went to and went out of their way to help me/compliment ds.

One thing though: tried to buy cold medicine for ds and was told they DO NOT sell any medicine for under 2s without prescription, so make sure you take plenty of what you might need.

Hope this is useful.

Hi,

we are planning to take our DD to NY at the end of july when she will be nearly 6 months. I'd be grateful for any advice, tips on accommodation etc. She's only 10 weeks at the moment and our first so the whole thing seems incredibly daunting right now .

Thanks

Hi, I'm off to Washington DC with my 6 month old in a couple of weeks and would too be very grateful for advice. Do they make your taste babyfood at Heathrow? Flying with Virgin.

Hi, yes they do make you taste anything you might be carrying including milk cartons!!
If you have any dry foods, those are fine.
They do insist that you can buy what you need in the Boots inside.
