Long Haul in June Inspiraton

We've got a BA companion voucher we need to use before the end of June next year. Sort of fixed on holiday dates with work so really needs to be June we go.

Does anyone have any great destinations I've not considered?

The only two main things are it must be long haul (waste of companion voucher otherwise) and as much as it's not a guarantee, somewhere with decent, sunny weather.

Middle East ticks the boxes but been a few times and DH not overly keen.
India is out due to monsoon season.
Is the Caribbean any good in June?
Considered Kenya and Zanzibar but also just at the end of the rainy season.

Sounds silly, but the past few times we've been away short haul in the summer(Spain, Italy, Greece) it's rained and it's miserable trying to amuse everyone after the 5th day of torrential downpours. Long haul we tend to go for when the weather is good, but June seems to be a tricky month to get right.

I just want somewhere where we've got a fighting chance of a good run of sunshine!

Mauritius or Borneo maybe.

There are various places in the US that are lovely in June - but obviously depends what sort of holiday you want. Yosemite is amazing that time of year. We’ve done a road trip in California north to south at that time of year and it was great, but might not be warm enough for you. A friend has just got back from New Orleans and had an amazing time with really nice weather.

Caribbean in June you probably want to be outside the hurricane belt - ABC islands are usually a good shout (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao). BA fly direct to Aruba I am pretty sure and there are lots of lovely resorts if you want a more relaxing trip.

Dry season in Borneo starts in June, magical place to visit. The east coast of Malaysia is also good at that time of year, plus could be combined with some time in Singapore.

Parts of Indonesia are also great at that time of year - Bali but also Lombok and the Gili Islands (both of which I much prefer to Bali)

Rwanda is supposed to be excellent in June - perfect hiking time for gorilla spotters.

Definitely Malaysia. Great food, hotels and culture.

Amazing suggestions, thanks so much everyone, especially @cherryassam!

Definitely swaying towards Malaysia/Borneo, we've never been to either. Will be researching today while I hide from the torrential rain in Florence 😬
