What part of Tenerife would be good for me?

Solo holiday. I'm in my 30s. For January for some short haul winter sun. Not keen on the look of playas de Las americas, looks trashy. I'm looking for nice beaches, restaurants. Somewhere with enough going on but not noisy. Adults only hotel would be great but not a must. Any suggestions please?

Costa Adeje is nice, some good adult only hotels there and a very nice beach at Playa del Duque

Wow its looking like it'll cost about a grand for just me half board for a week!

Does it have to be Tenerife? Puerto Blanca Lanzarote is not trashy (most of the island isn't except Costa Teguise and the newer part of Playa del Carmen east of Playa Chica).

Or Puerto Mogan or Playa de Amadores in Gran Canaria.

That seems expensive - how does B&B then eating out each day compare? If you get a room with a fridge, you'll be able to get drinks from the supermarket.

Yes I think the prices in the canaries are about the same summer and winter. Because they are so far south you can guarantee good weather in January which doesn’t apply to the rest of Spain.
