nice veggie cafe near science museum?

child friendly, not spicy food within walking distance of the museum or would you recommend the food in the museum??

no idea .. but wondering if anyone isn't going to the science museum tomorrow

Perhaps everyone going just happens to know that Mumsnet is the place to come for info like this!

The cafe in the Wellcome Wing certainly used to be quite nice. Haven't been to SciM for a few years though (used to work there) so others will be able to give more up-to-date info!

I don't rate the food in the museum. But I do like the SciM policy on packed lunches ... They are happy for you to eat and drink in any uncarpeted area of the museum. So when you want to take a break, simply find a spot with a nice view of an interesting gallery, park yourselves and have lunch! There are also free cloakrooms, so you don't have to carry your bags around all day if you don't want to.
