Liquid rules in French airports

Anyone know if same rules for liquids on flights apply in France as Uk? Just hoping to bring back a couple of bottles of wine in hand luggage from Carcassone via Ryanair

I’ll see if I can find a link but AFAIK it’s still pretty much universally the 100ml individual containers and one sealable plastic bag rule.

I’ve seen staff sometimes turn a blind eye to you having a couple of the ziplock bags but I don’t think bottles of wine will make it, sorry.

I thought the UK was one of the last remaining places where airports still have the 100ml rule in place. Other countries have got better scanning equipment - the USA for example doesn't have this rule. But sorry, not sure about France.

Came back from Carcassone last week, still 100 ml limit on liquids. Small cafe once through security, no other shop, they did have some wine for sale though.

Can’t you buy it duty free ?
You can carry it on board that way.

A lot of countries still don’t have the new kit.

Carcassonne is a bit quaint and I can’t see them getting upgraded for a while, even just up the road at the much more busy Toulouse Blagnac it was still the 100 ml rule a month or so back, not sure if there’s any change at any of the Paris airports yet.

Unlike Carcassonne at Toulouse they have cunningly positioned a sizeable duty free/wine shop immediately post security, set up so that you have to walk through it to get to the gates……..

Flew back from Beziers last week and much to my suprise (because I hadn't been following the news on this) we were allowed to take bottles of water through (some bought, some in our own water bottles of varying sizes)

Simon Calder on R4 was talking about this the other day. Some smaller airports have apparently got the scan in place ready to go but because the larger ones haven’t they have been told to revert! Don’t know if that is true of other countries, but the advice was to assume everywhere still has the limit.

Was he talking about UK or France?

There’s certainly been some issue with the way the UK has implemented this, as demonstrated by the problems over the last few days at Birmingham airport.

Carcassonne airport is tiny. There's one cafe and some vending machines after security from memory.

Thanks all . I won't risk it . Nothing on the website about it to say either way and I know the airport is. super small and not much to buy duty free which would have been an option otherwise . X
