Lytton Beach Crete OR Xanadu Resort Belek

Hi all,
I’m stuck between the above two hotels for a family holiday End Sept/Beg Oct- family of 4 (2 adults 6 YO & almost 2 YO)
Has anyone been to either and can recommend?
things I’m interested to hear about;
-temp at this time of year - slightly worried Crete might not be warm enough/ pools cold
-things for kids to do. Fantasy land in Xanadu looks amazing!!
-transfer time from airport- would private transfers be better?— overall which has more of the ‘wow’ factor

we’ve shortlisted these hotels as both can provide 2 bedroom accommodation which is what we prefer.

We went to LB last Aug. Really enjoyed it, great food, nice size complex, waterpark area would be ideal for your DC ages. We had a room with a private pool which was the highlight for my kids.

August was way too hot, meant we couldn't really explore but I would imagine sept/early Oct would be much better. The beach wasn't amazing but my kids were more interested in the pools.

Nice promenade for a little walk and a few shops within about 10 mins but not loads to explore on the doorstep. We did a private transfer which was great, think it was only about 20mins.
